Ever since rewatching azumanga daioh (specifically episode 24) i have taken quite the liking to the Iriomote cat. Here's a few reasons I find it interesting:
its a cat!!! its so cuteeeee
i find its unique visual traits interesting; Notable things being the white below its eyes, the dots on the back of the ears, its fur pattern, and its fat, fluffy tail!!
its super rare!! one of the rarest wildcats!! It's critically endangered, with a population of less than 250, which sucks!!! #savetheiriomotecat
it only lives on iriomote island, in Japan. i like japan!! i think its cool.. especially iriomote island and how the iriomote cat is able to coexist with people,,
